Running through the heart of diModa is the Interurban Trail, a tremendous regional amenity that runs from Everett to Shoreline. So grab the leash, strap on a helmet or tie on those tennis shoes - a trailhead awaits you, just steps from your front door.

Driving into the community you cannot help but notice the grassy expanse surrounding the entrance. The benches beckon you to kick up your heals for a moment after a morning run...the field begs for someone to host a picnic. A game of Frisbee anyone? Or fetch with the dog? No matter how you decide to use it - it’s there for the community to enjoy!

Picnics not your thing? Then grab a basketball from the garage and go shoot some hoops. The southwest corner of the community features a fun-filled half basketball court for your competitive sports enjoyment. Or bring along a book or a game of checkers and watch the more athletically gifted (more athletically motivated at the moment) from the game tables just steps away.

As you go through communities do you ever feel as though you are heading home along a driveway masquerading as a "real" street? You won’t at diModa, it has streets 30% wider than required. In fact some spots the road is large enough to have designated street parking, not just somewhere for your neighbor to park his van and hope that no one is looking (and no one is coming who might need to get around).

Ever have your driveway blocked by an over-zealous neighbor or guest who thought "there is more than enough space to fit my 10,000 lb. SUV between these driveways"? Well, at diModa, we realized that this could be a real nuisance so we made sure that there was extra street parking- and we’re not counting the driveways!

Have you ever driven into a community and feared that you may drive into your neighbor’s driveway? Or worse, have a guest who you are excitedly awaiting to show off your new abode to, stop by… 3 doors down? Well we are committed to NEVER having that happen at diModa. In fact, we’ve made sure that it never will-granted there are only 97 homes to go around but each one is distinct within the community. There are no plan/elevation/color combinations. So while your house may share one of our 20 designer exterior color sets with a home the next street over, rest assured that it will look completely different on another plan or elevation. Yes, you’re hearing that right - 97 homes, no repeats.

The issue with building houses that make people want to entertain (and just plain show off-don’t worry we won’t tell) is that it is hard to do without inviting guests. And if there are guests then they will need a place to put their cars (unless they came by way of The Interurban Trail, of course… but we are assuming that not everyone is as lucky as diModa residents.) This is why in addition to all of the aforementioned street parking, we have included a guest parking lot. For the convenience of both guest and neighbors

We realize that neither of these things are technically inside the community of diModa, per se, but we thought they were worth mentioning –Community Transit has a just two blocks south of diModa and there are 4 separate park and rides within a five minute drive of the community. If you are a bus rider, this place will be heaven. And if you, or someone who will live with you, happen to work for Microsoft, there is a connector location less than two blocks south of the diModa community. How’s a two minute walk for your part of the commute sound?

We only give this designation to our communities that are less than 5 minutes from a major freeway, in which case diModa is DOUBLY freeway friendly! Less than two minutes (one if you hit the 164th lights right) and you’ll be on I-5, the I-405 in less than 1 mile south of that. In fact both Seattle and Bellevue are approximately the same 20 minute drive away depending on the traffic. Everett is even less than that. No matter where you are going- north to Everett or south (to Seattle) east (to Bellevue) or west (to Mukilteo) diModa is ideally located to for getting you there… or beyond.

Weisman Design Group, a top rated (in our opinion at the very least) planning and architecture firm designed the landscape plan at diModa to be lush and plentiful, making the best use of every corner and cranny that could be “greened up” in the community. From the landscape buffers on Meadow Road and Motor Place to making our Interurban Trailhead a welcoming entrance to the trail, their work has made diModa a better place to live, play, drive and whatever else you might like to do when you’re in or around your new home. The streetscape is beautiful – especially with their fingerprints all over it.
